Unlock the benefits of Occupational Health for your practice and people

Occupational Health for GP Practices is key to preventing and managing workplace health issues, as well as helping to provide a safe and healthy working environment. It is essential for creating productive and engaged staff, as well as reducing the risk of serious accidents.

For GP practices, occupational health can help to improve patient service, reduce the burden on staff, and create a healthier work environment.

Through comprehensive assessments, occupational health professionals can help to identify risk factors and create protective policies, systems, and procedures that can help to minimise harm and maximise efficiency.

Popular Occupational Health FAQs

Is the package tailored to the needs of an individual GP Practice?

All new GP Clients go through an onboarding process which includes an OH Needs Assessment to understand any specific requirement of the Practice, such as immunisations required per role. The package also offers a blend of Occupational Health & Wellbeing Services targeted to support the needs of a health practice.

What happens if our practice has over 60 staff?

We support Practices with over 60 staff and can tailor the package quote based on your headcount. Simply populate the form below, provide your headcount and we will take care of the rest.

Can you arrange immunisations? Are they included in the package?

We sure can. Valentine can organise blood tests and immunisations for your new and existing staff, so should an employee need a full course or a booster, Valentine can organise these swiftly. The cost for all these items are provided with the package so we simply bill you at the discounted package cost as and when you access these service items.

What happens if you use all of your package services before the contract ends?

You can still utilise our services at a discounted additional cost, prior to the package end date (typically 12 months). All of these costs are provided upfront for full transparency.

Is it available to patients?

The services are accessible to employees of the Practice only and should not be confused with patients.

How often can the services be used?

As frequently as you need them. There is no limit on the use of the services, so items such as the EAP (Employee Assistance Programme) can be utilised again and again whenever an employee is need of support 24/7.

Can you provide the package without the EAP?

We can tailor the package to suit your needs and, should you already have an EAP, we can work with you to signpost employees to your existing EAP, removing our own EAP. If you aren’t happy with the EAP you have in place currently, the package comes with a standalone EAP and we will work with you to get the best value from the service, building this into your business policies and procedures.

The Occupational Health for GP Surgeries

Our GP Package isn't just for the benefit of employees; employers can gain significant advantages from investing in it too. By prioritising the health and wellbeing of your workforce, you can enjoy better productivity, reduced absenteeism, and improved staff retention rates. It's a win-win for everyone.

The GP Package also helps employers meet their legal obligation of providing a safe and healthy working environment for their employees. With this package, employers can demonstrate that they are taking their duty of care seriously, reducing the risk of legal action or damage to their reputation. Plus, the regular screening and assessments can detect any health concerns early on, so proactive steps can be taken to address them.

Of course, we understand that some employers may view investing in a GP Package as an extra cost, and changes to existing policies could be disruptive. But in the long run, employers who prioritise the health and wellbeing of their team are more likely to create a positive working environment and achieve long-term success. So, it's worth considering the GP Package as a valuable tool to invest in the health of your workforce, meet legal obligations, and boost productivity.
